PD shaping up for 2010-2011

This past week I met with technology integration specialist consultant Jim Burke from Western Maine Consortium and Jim Moulton , integration specialist consultant, from Apple.  Jim Burke will provide services every Wed next year and a re-cert class 3-5 pm for those interested.  Jim Moulton and his team from Apple will focus on monthly training, probably during staff meetings, that will focus on critical tools and tips offered from Macbooks.  In either case, both will be showing us strategies that will improve teaching and learning.   Also, we will continue to provide weekly training session after school to LES,LMS, and LHS. 

The focus with both Jim and Jim will be on literacy and numeracy. Two familiar tools we will start with will be First Class, Google Education Applications, and the Macbook/Apple suite of apps......

I met with E-rate consultant, Allen Curtis, and hopefully he will secure money that in the past was not acquired.

Met with Network Maine engineer and a project will begin this summer to increase our bandwidth in all buildings.  Yeah!
