When apps spy on you

The other day I heard a recording on my Blackberry and I don't know how I got it. It seems to be an intercept from truckers? I don't know, but it made me paranoid. In any event, it is stored in my voice mail...and I know I didn't store it. I do know these devices are 'tapped'. And then I read this.... When Apps Spy on You

Our Google overhaul and Google's new Apps Marketplace

As you know we have revamped and overhauled our RSU36 Google For Educators domain. In fact, we have multiple domains to allow for diverse management at different schools - and we mean all schools in the consolidated district. Despite minimal use of Google Apps for various reasons and rationales, we have (barely) kept up with the advances with Google Ed on the admin side, which should assist the end-user. (There is a learning curve for all of us).

Why we are excited about Google's new Apps Marketplace just read this!!!!

Consolidation Not Conglomeration

Will we consider consolidation a reason to transform teaching and learning with technology -or (and this is my wish list for consolidation): a reason to collectively revise a Tech Plan reflecting ICT, internet safety, information and digital literacy, greater cloud-based endeavors, greater use of distance and digital learning, transforming with augmented and virtual reality, embracing mobile devices and gaming, greater access and learning via social networking,.....or will things be the same, just bigger?

Continue with Prof Dev using MLTI's consultative model
Additional technology staffing
the re-establishment and revitalizing of a tech committee and revision (and re-Vision) of a Tech Plan
shared SIS
shared communication structure (email and phone system)
greater google presence (all students and staff with gmail and gdocs/apps)
ideally, an improved communications backbone (phone systems)
greater access for videoconferencing (tanbergs) which improves distance learning and digital learning
most importantly, greater end-user support
improved filtering
synchronous and asynchronous teaching and learning
